Los Angeles Community College
I am currently attending LACC (Los Angeles Community College) I started a year after I had graduated high school. My family had practically dragged me in to register.
Why didn’t I want to go? I just didn’t want to deal with education again. I felt high school was such a bad experience. All the teachers seem like they want you to be open minded but in reality they’re just feeding you their opinion. Shaping you into what they want the future to look like. Especially with politics, they always seem to try and seduce you into believing that this political idea would be great!
College is just worse. A lot of teachers pretend they’re laid back and hip, just so they can try and brain wash a younger generation. Most of them want you to develop your own ideas and yet they fill you with their own opinions and make you believe yours are wrong.
Not all teachers are like that but this is a BIG reason I avoided college in the first place. I’ve learned to survive and get past teachers who will lower your grade if you don’t agree.
I think that’s what college is about though- Survival. You already know what you’re doing in life it’s a matter of how to apply your knowledge to life. We’re learning to utilize or knowledge for our future. College is a big step towards success.
I know my money is spent well, even if I don’t have to pay for most of it. Financial aid pays for my education and grants pay for my books. A lot of people can get them, just not everyone knows that.
